Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City

The Kiwanis Club of Traverse City was chartered on November 26, 1924. We have been meeting weekly and serving children and the community since then.  For more information, please email club secretary by using the Contact Us link or click here.

We meet weekly at the Kirkbride Hall at the Village Commons (700 Cottageview Dr. Ste. 200 Traverse City, MI  49684) on Tuesdays at noon to 1pm year round. We have a program speaker each week on topics of current community issues and changes and honor those in service and academic excellence.  Stop by to visit and check us out - your welcome to attend the first meeting free of charge.

The Kiwanis Club of Traverse City focuses on youth based initiatives in the greater Traverse City area. Projects that we are known for include: the American Flag Project, the 3rd Grade Dictionary Project, the Kiwanis Norte Bike Mas Safety Program, Student based Kiwanis Clubs and more.  Beyond the Traverse City club, there are clubs across the state, country and internationally.  Locally, Kiwanis also has a Foundation - the Kiwanis Foundation of Traverse City.  We support these efforts through voluntary fundraising efforts and philanthropy.

You are welcome to visit our club weekly meeting anytime...Come and join us!

Centennial Anniversary Marked with GT County Civic Center Dedication.

The Kiwanis Club of Traverse City is thrilled to celebrate its centennial anniversary. To commemorate this significant milestone, a beautifully crafted stone has been placed at the base of the flagpole at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center.

"We are excited to share the accomplishments and mission of our foundation with everyone who has been a part of Kiwanis in the Grand Traverse area over the past century. This dedication ceremony honors our organization's rich history and its enduring legacy of impactful community projects,” said Jim Massaroni, Committee Chair.

The Kiwanis Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City, provides annual grants to eligible organizations and is proud to reaffirm its ongoing commitment to improving the lives of children and youth in our community. Beyond supporting local children, other notable initiatives include the Flag Program, the Dictionary Program, Kids Against Hunger, and many more.

The Kiwanis Club Foundation remains steadfast in its dedication to initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of children and youth. Through collaborative efforts with local organizations, we strive to create a brighter future for generations to come.
